Maria Basey

Maria P. Basey was born and raised in California and relocated to South Carolina in 2023. She brings more than 15 years of legal experience, grounded in complex civil litigation. She began her career as a paralegal in Los Angeles, assisting on matters involving Purdue Pharma, JUUL Labs, Inc., Hyland's Naturals, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, with extensive litigation and trial preparation in state and federal courts.

Today Maria serves as a family law paralegal, applying that litigation foundation to matters that touch clients and their families at pivotal moments. She is a steady, organized resource through discovery, preparation, and the day-to-day progress of a case, with a focus on helping clients feel informed and supported. She earned an associate degree in Paralegal Studies from Everest College.

Outside the office, Maria enjoys time with her husband and their two children, exploring South Carolina, and football season.
