Briana A. Melton

Bri grew up a military kid, born in Alabama and raised mostly in South Carolina, with three unforgettable years in Okinawa, Japan tucked in along the way. That upbringing taught her to read a room, build trust fast, and adapt to wherever life places her.

Bri earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina, and a J.D. from the University's Joseph F. Rice School of Law. During law school, she served as Vice President and President of the Black Law Students Association, sang as her class soloist, represented real clients as a Student Attorney in the Education Rights Clinic, and earned a CALI Award for Secured Transactions. She went on to clerk as the Family Court Law Clerk for the Fifth Judicial Circuit in Richland County, gaining firsthand insight into family law from the bench.

Today, Bri focuses her practice on Estate Planning and Family Law. She leads with integrity, compassion, and a genuine focus on what each client needs.

When she's not in the office, you'll probably find Bri singing or volunteering at church, working toward her ASL certification, or admittedly doing a little too much shopping. She's also a certified foodie, with a serious love for good pasta and pistachio almond ice cream.

For clients navigating a difficult family or legal transition, Bri is honored to help guide the way. She believes the right people and opportunities show up when you need them, and she wants every client to walk away from their time with her feeling like they ended up exactly where they needed to be, too.
